Kakafika Evolution

A simulation of life I made, to think about evolution. Maybe interesting for you too. I admit the process of creating the game was more interesting than playing it :)

The game simulates entities which run random programs made up from simple instructions like scalar and vector operations. The instructions operate on information obtained from the environment and internal registers.

Entities can duplicate, which results in a similar entity running a similar program - the program can mutate during duplication though.

This system has the chance to develop interesting behaviors, albeit this is a very low chance.

Most of the mechanics are described in the Help menu and tooltips of the Options menu.
